Victorian Village is home to a considerable number of houses that have a historic character all their own, and this residence was no exception. The homeowners love the house and the unique charm it derives from the era in which it was built. By contrast, though, they very much did not love this bathroom, which had a sizable – and seldom-used – bathtub smack in the middle. They also found themselves with precious little space for storage.
The Simple Bath + Kitchen team got to work designing a bathroom space that better fit the owners’ needs. To solve their space issues, we added new drawers and a linen cabinet, ensuring there was a place for everything they needed. And that old bathtub? Long gone and replaced with a walk-in shower, complete with clear, frameless shower doors and seating. The bathroom is no bigger than it was before, but it feels much larger and more functional, and is far more suitable for the owners’ daily use.
