Columbus radio personality Kelsey Webb wanted her primary bathroom to feel more relaxing and refined. Though the layout worked well, the space felt plain and outdated, lacking the cohesive style and comfort she envisioned. With thoughtful design choices and careful attention to detail, the bathroom was transformed into a calming, spa-inspired retreat that balances modern elegance with everyday functionality to create a comforting, sophisticated bathroom she can enjoy for years to come.
This spacious bathroom wasn’t making the most of its layout. While the placement of the attached water closet and walk-in shower worked well, the garden tub was collecting dust and took up valuable square footage. Limited lighting and storage, along with visible wear on the fixtures, left the space feeling unfinished and in need of a more cohesive design that blended style with function.
The outdated beige and white palette was replaced with black cabinetry and hardware, creating a striking contrast and sophistication. Muted blue walls introduced a sense of tranquility, while marbled tile flooring replaced the old wood for a more refined and durable finish. The powder room was refreshed to complement the primary bathroom’s new look, featuring blush pink walls and gray cabinetry for a playful yet balanced contrast.
The walk-in shower was completely rebuilt with crisp white shiplap panels, built-in shelving, and thoughtful accessibility features like a shower bench and grab bars to ensure comfort and longevity. The double vanity also received a makeover with matching mirrors and a new drawer bank to provide the much-needed storage.
Kelsey finally got to say goodbye to the underused garden tub, and in its place, added a makeup vanity. She now has a place for all her makeup and hair tools, making her getting-ready process fun, rather than another chore to speed through. In addition to LED can lighting for overall brightness, matching vanity lights and a pendant above the makeup area add an extra touch of sophistication.
