Delaware Delight

These Delaware homeowners came to us with a kitchen that was in dire need of updates. It didn’t have as much storage as they would have liked, its sheet vinyl flooring and laminate countertop were showing their age, and its fluorescent lighting just wasn’t getting the job done: Not only was it dated, it was too minimal to sufficiently light up the kitchen and dining space. Our team got right to work on a remodel that would make the space more modern and functional.

The finished product is much more in line with the owners’ wishes. It’s noticeably brighter, thanks to decorative pendant lighting and LED dimmable can lights. It’s more contemporary, as the new quartz countertop and Luxury Vinyl Tile flooring demonstrate. And storage space has grown by leaps and bounds, thanks in large part to custom-made Amish cabinetry designed specifically to fit the room’s footprint. Not only do the owners have a much easier time navigating the kitchen, they now have a space they can show off.

Needs

The homeowners wanted to brighten up their kitchen space, which had dated fluorescent lighting, and only in the center of the room. They were also looking for better storage options, including the pantry. In addition, the one-piece sheet vinyl flooring needed an update, and they’re grown tired of the dated laminate countertop.

 

Our
Solution

We added new, custom-made Amish cabinets to the room, making it possible to maximize space by using specific sizes to fit the are available. Dimmable LED can lights and decorative pendant lighting brightened up the space considerably, and a new quartz countertop and LVT throughout the kitchen and eat-in area updated the look. Finally, we put in a peninsula cabinet with front and back access, as well as a new full-depth fridge cabinet with side access, completely transforming the space into one the owners love.
